British holidaymakers like using public transport when abroad. That’s one of the findings of a survey by transportation app makers Moovit.

63% of their British users will go abroad at some point in the next year. 33% of us will use public transport to get around when we arrive at our destination while another third of us will just walk between attractions.

21% of Brits abroad will hire a car. Renting a vehicle is a much more popular option with Americans and one-third of them will book a car.

The French are the most likely to walk between sites – 65% of them will see their city or holiday resort on foot.

Affordability was most important for British travellers. 65% of respondents rated that factor most highly.
