Keri Jones is the producer and presenter of the Great Destinations Radio Show.
Keri knows Britain well. He was born in Cardiff and during a 29-year radio career he’s lived and worked across the country from Yorkshire to Devon, Essex to Carmarthenshire. Keri’s passion for travel developed further during his ten years of managing Radio Scilly on the Isles of Scilly. Living in a tourism community gave Keri the opportunity to travel during the winter. He developed a weekly travel show for the station, which proved popular, so in late 2015, Keri decided to work on producing the programme full-time.
Keri says his favourite city is Napier in New Zealand but closer to home he loves Barcelona and Biarritz. He’d recommend Oregon and Colorado for anyone who wants to see a different side to the United States. He’s most proud to have stamps in his passport for Tuvalu in the South Pacific and the British territories of Montserrat and the Falklands. In Britain, he’s enjoying discovering Dorset where he now lives.
Keri’s claim to fame includes having a curry every day during a month-long tour of New Zealand in 2005! His favourite food tip is to try the mussel tapas at Coromandel Mussel Kitchen in New Zealand although the Pasteis de Nata custard tarts in Lisbon do come a close second!
