Is there a direct airline route you wish existed? That’s what flight search website Skyscanner has asked travellers.
It seems that British flyers would like direct and non-stop services to Australia. Out of the top ten most-requested wish list routes, London to Perth, London to Brisbane, Manchester to Sydney and Manchester to Perth came in as the third, fourth, sixth and eighth most wanted.
And that wish might soon come true – Australian carrier Qantas intends to launch a 16-hour service from London to Perth in 2017.
The most in-demand non-stop route overall was from London to Bali in Indonesia. London to Kochi in India came in at number five, Birmingham to Bangkok was at seven and, surprisingly, London to Kathmandu in Nepal was number nine.
The tenth most popular, currently non-existent service would link Edinburgh and Bangkok.
