More Brits are travelling to Tenerife. The island’s Tourism Corporation says that the numbers of UK holidaymakers rose by 20% over the first five months of this year.
More than 800,000 UK residents picked the largest Canary Island for a holiday between January and May.
The beach resorts on the south of the island provide the most popular choice. Tenerife has been keen to encourage people to visit sites such as the UNESCO-listed Teide National Park where they’ve added stargazing to the list of activities due to the lack of light pollution.
