Many people don’t realise that you can get cheaper flights by building a stopover into your trip, rather than flying direct to your destination. With some airlines, such as those based in the Middle East flying long haul to Asia or Australia, you’ll have to do this anyway. But combining flights with different airlines can often provide a much better deal. That’s the theory behind the new flight search website, AirWander.com.
It searches through thousands of combinations including at least one stopover to find the cheapest route. Keri spoke with founder Ela Bader about how it works.
