Lisbon in Portugal remains the UK’s favourite overseas golfing destination.
The city’s tourism authority says there’s been a 22% increase in rounds played by UK visitors during the first half of this year. That’s up over 16,000 on the same period in 2015.
The city welcomes more than 100,000 international golfers annually. The only visitors to play more rounds than us are the Scandinavians.
There are 21 golf courses situated less than one hour’s drive from the centre of the capital – an area termed the Golf Coast.
